EXCLUSIVE: Finance Ministry Named As Multi-Million Naira Police Salary Rise Whereabouts Stir Controversy

Six months salary arrears differential, under IPPIS, is in possession of Finance Ministry – IG

The Nigerian Police Authorities have declared that the multi-million naira six months’ salary arrears differential for men of the force is in possession of the ministry of finance awaiting administrative procedures for cash-backing.

This, contained in the Police signal – an official memo from the force headquarters exclusively obtained by Platforms Africa – came as the Whereabouts of the money running into millions of naira stirred controversy among men of the force.

The Police has, sequel to an exclusive story published by Platforms Africa on December 10, 2021, announced 20% reviewed consolidated police salary structure (CONPOSS), an increment in salary, for its men last December. Though the increment was announced to take effect from January, the Police started payment in July leaving arrears of six months unpaid and turned its Whereabouts to a subject of controversy.
